Phillips, MX3D team up to advance robotic wire arc DED tech in US MX3D, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Phillips Corporation, based in Hanover, Maryland, USA, have formed a strategic alliance to introduce MX3D's cutting-edge Directed Energy Deposition (DED) Additive Manufacturing solutions to the US market.
The alliance officially debuted at RAPID + TCT in Detroit, Michigan, USA, marking a huge step forward in boosting advanced digital platforms with the use of DED across aerospace, energy, maritime, and heavy industrial industries. “We are excited to partner with MX3D on robotic wire arc DED solutions for the US market,” said John Harrison, President of Phillips Global Additive. “My visit to their headquarters confirmed their expertise in welding, which is key to DED.
