Hungarian Government Commissioner for Artificial Intelligence, László Palkovics, visited Israel in late March alongside Energy Minister Csaba Lantos, where they held meetings with several leading Israeli tech firms. In a recent Index interview with László Palkovics revealed that Hungarian-Israeli technology collaboration now includes a cloud-based traffic management system as well as human-like robotic manufacturing in Hungary.
Palkovics highlights the creation of humanoid robots as one of the vital aspects in this joint project. Palkovics stated the robots have already been developed in Israel and are ready for business deployment. "The technology is now beyond the experimental phase and ready for mass production," he explained.
Advanced robots serve sophisticated tasks featuring abilities superior to those of humans in various areas. Their ability to operate without breaks combined with voice command and self-managed communication operations makes these robots highly appealing to investors seeking commercial applications.
Hungary’s strong automotive industry provides a solid foundation for producing such high-tech machines. Drawing parallels between automotive manufacturing and robotics, Palkovics noted, "The car is the most complex consumer product it incorporates every discipline, including energy production, energy storage, energy conversion, materials technology, and artificial intelligence."
He identified this program as a substantial business opportunity for Hungary while confirming that Hungarian and Israeli partners jointly started identifying manufacturers who could contribute to robotic production.
